C.O.P.E. and Climbing
Team-Building Fun
Camp Currier is home to a 70 ft. climbing wall and an incredible challenge course; the C.O.P.E. program consists of the following elements:
- Initiative games: Used at the beginning of the course, this portion of the C.O.P.E. program help participants to learn to work collaboratively, with communication and trust, to achieve their goals.
- Trust events: These activities foster trust among the participants and create a dynamic team, responsive to the needs of its individual members.
- Low-course elements: Challenging, mentally and physically-demanding modules that are closer to the ground require teams and individuals to demonstrate tenacity and ingenuity while working together.
- High-course elements: In these events focused on individual initiative, participants will complete the high-up elements of the course (like the Giant's Ladder), with the help of teammates belaying and giving encouragement. This portion of the course ends with the exhilarating 300 ft. zip-line!

Shooting Sports
Fun is just down range...
Camp Currier boasts rifle, shotgun, archery, and action archery ranges onsite, along Range Road. These facilities provide for Scouts and outside groups to experience the joys attached to discharging a firearm. These activities require qualified supervision and advance reservation, so book early!
NRA Range Safety Officer Trainings
In order for a range to run on a Scout-owned camp, the rangemaster must be certified by the NRA as a Range Safety Officer. The Chickasaw Council offers this training several times per year, some times at Camp Currier. This training is open to anyone who is interested, not limited to Scouters. Costs vary, but the course typically costs about $50. Check back here soon for course dates!
